The Oriel Summer Institute offers a unique opportunity to engage with world-class academics and immerse yourself in life at the University of Oxford, one of the world’s top universities.

Intensive Learning, Intimate Groups

In a group of no more than 30 students, our expert Tutors will guide you through a deep exploration of your chosen subject area – whether this be Law, Philosophy, Economics, STEM or British Literature. Across the two-week course, you will be intellectually challenged in a way that will build your understanding, stretch your perspectives and grow your academic capabilities.

Explore and Discover

With a thoughtfully balanced schedule, you’ll attend classes either in the morning or the afternoon, providing space in your day to explore everything that Oxford has to offer. In the evenings, you will have the opportunity to attend evening talks by leading thinkers in a range of academic disciplines. During the weekend, you will also be able to venture beyond Oxford to visit a different parts of the UK, such as London, Bath or the Cotswolds.

Over the last 20 years, the Oriel Summer Institute has been attended by over 5,000 students who have found our programme to be inspiring, challenging and enriching. We’re excited to welcome you in 2025 and are confident that your time with us will be transformative.
