Unforgettable Experiences
A range of activities are arranged over the course of the programme to provide an opportunity to explore the culture and history of Oxford. These might include trips to local museums, punting in the River Thames, taking a tour of the famous Bodleian Libraries or joining a walking tour of the city.
In the weekend that falls in the middle of the programme, you are invited to take a day trip to another iconic destination in England. Previous excursions have included London, Bath and the picturesque Cotswolds.
A highlight of our programme is the Welcome Reception when you arrive, as well as our farewell Formal Hall, a characteristic Oxford dining experience. The formal hall experience at Oriel is a timeless tradition, combining conversation, elegant dining and a sense of community in a historic setting.
Accommodation & Food
Whilst at Oriel, you will be accommodated in our student lodgings, either on the main college site or at our graduate campus, just a ten-minute walk from the heart of Oxford. Immersed in our beautiful surroundings, you will have the opportunity to stay, learn, and dine as our own students do, experiencing first hand the unique atmosphere of studying at Oxford.
Our chefs will prepare a delicious and nutritious meals for you during your stay. From Monday to Friday, this will include breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the weekends, we provide breakfast only, as many students choose to spend the day and evening away from the College.

Our Delegate Advisors are students at Oriel College or another college of the University, so offer a rich and authentic perspective during your stay. They support your welcome and arrival, the activities and excursions and make sure that your day-to-day experience at the College is as smooth as possible.
Additionally, our Porters in the Oriel Lodge are here to help 24/7. They will be a friendly face at the front gate every time you come into college and are well equipped to help should you need any support.
We are happy to make reasonable adjustments to enable participants with disabilities to participate fully in our programme. We warmly encourage students to contact our Office in advance of registration to discuss this
